Moray’s Loons and Quines

Throughout 2013, member groups have been busy collecting memories and pictures from Moray loons (lads) and Quines (lassies).

Heritage Lottery FundThanks to a generous grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund ‘All Our Stories’ project, groups have been able to acquire sound recording and photo scanning equipment.

A series of training sessions were also funded by the grant.

Moray Loons and Quines memory-sharing eventsA number of events were organised throughout Moray where local folk were invited to bring in their old photographs and to record their memories.

The recorded material is currently being processed and edited and we will post samples on  this page.

Some of the wonderful pictures discovered during the project already appear on the Flickr photostream panels on the individual Heritage Centre pages.

Click ‘Heritage Centres’ — then select the one you want and look at the bottom of the side bar on the right hand side.
