Knockando Woolmill has been manufacturing woolen textiles on the banks of the Knockando Burn since at least 1784. It is the oldest continually operating rural mill in the country. The Victorian machinery is up and running and visitors can experience the unique sounds and smells of yarn being spun and cloth woven.
Our fully interactive Visitor Centre offers the opportunity to experience living history, and we have a range of tours from self-guided to bespoke.The Cafe offers a range of coffees, teas, and locally sourced produce. Everything is made from the freshest ingredients on site and changes with the seasons. Our shop has a unique range of woolen textiles and gifts exclusive to the Woolmill.
